To be reasonably close to the action, look for accommodation in the following city areas: Newcastle, Newcastle East, Newcastle West, Cooks Hill, Bar Beach, The Hill, Wickham. These are in walking distance or an easy bike ride.
Adamstown, Broadmeadow, Carrington, Hamilton, Islington, Mayfield, Merewether, The Junction, and Tighes Hill are good if you will have a bike or a car, and public buses service all these areas.
