Adopt an Artist - Newcastle Festival Homestays
This Is Not Art attracts thousands of visitors from accross Australia, many looking for budget accommodation - and this gets tight across the city every year. This year we are trying to find local hosts who would love to invite festival goers into their home for the 5 days of the festival.
If you are a local who has a spare bed or a yard where peeps can pitch a tent then sign up now! There are amazing people from all over the country coming to visit for the festival, and they'd love to meet the locals.
Here's how it works:
Fill in the info form with details of the space you can offer, email it to thisisnotarthomestay@gmail.com. We will put the listing up on the Newcastle page in an accommodation listing and people will contact you directly to arrange their stay. Once the spot is filled we will take you off the website. Easy!
My friend Esther hosted a festival visitor a few years back. He was affectionately known as "The Billet". He came from Perth and when he left he handed over cartoons he had drawn. Not much of a story there - but I guess thats the point. No fuss and who knows who you will get to meet!
