This is not an exhaustive list and is certainly subjective - based on where we would tell our friends to go if they wanted to eat close by to the festival. None of these businesses have paid for a mention.

Honeysuckle & Boardwalk on the Harbour

  • The Wheelshop Café [Friday lunches only – a banquet style selection of Asian foods – each week is a different cuisine. Eat in or takeaway. Hearty servings & tasty tasty food]

Honeysuckle Railway Sheds, over the railway line at Civic Station

  • Honeysuckle Markets [Only on Sunday 9am – 3pm. Cafe & various fruit & veg & provisions stalls, including Organic grocers and local produce. The best stall there is Organic Biodynamic. Also locally made Bread & pastry type things from Simon in the centre]

Close by for lots of cafes, takeaway and fine dining.

  • There are heaps of Thai - Benjamas or White Pepper are the best

  • Eight Ounce (Thin slab pizza bar with gourmet toppings, Belgian beer house style with Jugs o beer & mussels. Happy hour cocktails 4-6pm)

  • The Taj (The old skoolest of the Indian takeaway)

  • Suspension Expresso (Over the railway tracks to Islington but has great heart-starter coffee (fair trade), gelato & cakes. bonsoy. & rumour has that they now do tea...)
    3 -5 Beaumont St [you can get the free bus along Hunter St to Dairy Farmers Corner (theres some local lingo for you) and walk the rest o the way, or an easy bike ride. Its worth the trip if you need a little time out.
