by admin last modified 2007-02-10 22:16

Update your diary now! This Is Not Art will be held in Newcastle, Australia over the NSW October Long Weekend - Thursday 27 September - Monday 01 October 2007.

Electrofringe, National Young Writers' Festival, Sound Summit and Critical Animals join forces to fill five days with artists presentations, hands-on workshops, panel discussions, film screenings, gigs and exhibitions programmed with some of the finest minds and hands in the country - and that inlcudes YOU!

Searchin for some experimental electronica kookiness? A place to launch your independent media? For a fresh cut of international and Australian digital media? For a place to meet those DJ's, MC's, mixers and producers who've been  rockin your world? For an audience for that unpronouncable, indefinable honours thesis?

Held throughout a handful of centralised venues in Newcastle's Civic Precinct, This Is Not Art gives you the space and time to meet your peers, exchange ideas, sup on ginger beer.

So start makin plans now! 3 airlines fly to Newcastle from Brisbane and Melbourne. Countrylink will connect you with cross-country rail services. And we all know the greyhounds travel everywhere! There are a range of accomodation options - Newcastle Tourist Info Centre can help you with this. Start saving now for travel, accomodation and a bit of pin money for food, beverages and a souvenir and before you know it you'll be shakin the proverbial tree, joining in on discussions at This Is Not Art 2007. How could you miss it?
