*Call for Documented Interactive Works Electrofringe 2007

Electrofringe Festival 2007 is calling for works from artists of all mediums to submit single channel screen works documenting projects that integrate, interact and react with technology and media in various forms including performance, dance, installation, visual or aural. Submissions are due 10 August 2007*


*We are looking for works including (but not limited to):
  • documented live performance works that interact with technology (your submission might be full or edited documentation of a live work or a documentary about you and your work)
  • experimental performance on screen
  • documented interactive installations

Selected submissions will be screened as part of the ElectroÊtre program
(see below) at Electrofringe 2007.

Festival Dates are *27th September – 1 October 2007.*

What to submit

Please submit a DVD/CD data file with the following:

· A high quality copy of the film/video in PAL DV .avi format

· A text or word file with the following information:

Your Name:
Your Email:
Your Postal Address:
Your State:
Your Country:
The Title of the work:
The Duration of the Work:
The Year the work was completed:
A blurb for the work (up to 150 words for printed program):
A description of the mediums/technology used in the work:

Please label the DVD with your name, your email address and the title of the
work.

ElectroÊtre être: (f) v to be
The ElectroÊtre screening program offers a melange of forms and
relationships that live performance can have with technology. The works
presented are by performance artists and companies from around the world
whose work integrates, interacts and reacts with technology and media in
various forms. The 2006 program included documentaries, documentation and
screen works by Nibroll (Japan), MEI-BE Whatever (Malaysia/USA), Troika
Ranch Dance Theatre (USA), PVI Collective (Australia), Collectivo Anatomic
(Spain), Tina Gonzalves (Australia), Barnet/Chenweth (USA) and
Mushkin/Barnet (USA).

Festival Dates

Electrofringe is assisted by the Federal Government through the Australia
Council for the Arts, its arts advisory body, and the Australian Film
Commission.

Festival Partners in 2007 include ABC Radio National - The Night Air,
Realtime/Onscreen, Reeldance, Japan Media Arts Festival, Australian Network
of Art and Technology, High Tea with Mrs Woo. Electrofringe is auspiced by
Music NSW.

Sunday Fair

SUNDAY 30th SEPTEMBER
ZINE AND INDEPENDENT PRESS FAIR @ CIVIC PARK – 12pm-6pm.
Bring your wallet, your picnic blanket and cool things to swap at Australia's largest Zine and Independent publishing fair. Be delighted by table after table of amazing home-grown writing, illustration, comics, zines, badges, posters and more.


BAD WRITING PINATA OF CATHARTIC SHAME @ CIVIC PARK – 3.30pm-4pm. FREE
Bring your worst writing to the zine fair to add to the Bad Writing Pinata. It's your chance to redeem yourself through trial by papier mache. Offenders on trial will be required to read their work. The sentence will be an appropriate number of Pinata lashes. Bring a stick. Gluing begins at 12pm. Free fun for all.


SUNDAY FAIR EVENING GIG @ CIVIC PARK – 5pm-8pm. FREE
An evening of performances from Electrofringe artists in the great outdoors. With: Gail Priest, Secret Killer Of Names, Ross F Manning, Hetleveiker, Fugal Quese, Undecisive God, Anna Chase. Event is free.
