1/15 Ross Street

Crack Theatre Festival

Viviane and Kimberley’s site-specific dance duet 1/15 Ross Street is set in an iconic Australian beachside backyard and performed with musician Barry Hill. Developed out of long-form improvisations, it explores two women´s intimate realms - their suburban mundanity as poetic surrealism. The duet marries Viviane’s strong sense of visual storytelling and imagery with Kimberly's rich practice of devising through emergent choreography. The project is born of a curiosity for the beauty and art in domestic life and the emotional states of its individuals, especially when they are forced to share these states with neighbours in close proximity.
