Early morning four artists find themselves stranded on Newcastle Beach. They meet a small crowd gathered apparently waiting for them. They speak of the woes of their journey, the land they came from, and ask their new friends to help them build a raft to take them home. Throughout the day they explore Newcastle city in the hope that they can gather the expertise and materials to construct a raft. Come dusk, the artists invite their new friends to a closing ceremony to say their farewells and sail off on the horizon hopefully making their way home. Will it sink?
