Speculative Memories is an experimental, practice-based design project that explores memory, experience and alternate futures through an auto-ethnographic framework of personal and public spheres. The exploration of personal memory is investigated through the curation, repetition, and distortion of autobiographical memories. The exploration of the public memory incorporates the subtractions and addition of dimensionality, in considering the possibilities of the virtual.
Speculative Memories: Part #4 The Objectorium. This interactive piece asks viewers to upload a personal photo of an object and describe their personal memory to the object. This is then uploaded for instant transferal. Memories are then altered and transmitted back to public projection in real time. This work explores notions of distortion, identity and control.
