The Shape of Memory

Critical Animals

The Shape of Memory investigates the internal spaces or moments that we try to forget but often come back to, the memories that lay dormant at the edges of your mind until something small triggers an involuntary response – an intake of breath, a soft brush of the hand to a smooth surface or a flash of colour behind your eyes. Using their own personal histories, each artist will create works that will disrupt the physicality of the blank gallery space questioning how and why these dormant moments of memory or of a life once lived can reflect our past, our present and what our future may be.

In partnership with The Lock-Up.

Exhibition runs till 15 October 2017.
